The Challenge

Define and calculate prices and capacities

AIDA Cruises, a leading cruise line company, faced the challenge of optimizing its pricing and capacity planning. Existing processes were inefficient and unstructured, with manual Excel-based workflows for catalog pricing and a spartan interface for operational pricing. The lack of automation led to wasted time and a lack of documentation, which made the approval process and audits difficult. A standard solution was not feasible due to the individual workflows and data structures.

The Solution

Real-time role-based system for price planning

To meet the complex requirements of AIDA Cruises, we developed a customized solution based on a role-based real-time system for price planning. This solution was designed from the ground up and offers a comprehensive range of functions tailored specifically to the company's needs.

The browser-based application enables users to efficiently record and manage prices for both long-term catalog pricing and daily operational pricing. By integrating various data sources, users are provided with additional information such as cabin availability, current and historical prices, and projected daily revenue per guest in real time.

Overall, our solution offers an efficient, transparent, and highly customizable platform for price planning and Yield Management of AIDA Cruises, enabling the company to optimize its processes and strengthen its competitiveness.
