The Challenge

Looking for a software partner

In 2005, the collaboration with AIDA Cruises began. At that time, AIDA Cruises did not have sufficient internal resources to implement the numerous projects that were coming their way as they grew. In search of a local software service provider that could further develop its internal software in accordance with the highest security regulations, AIDA Cruises decided to work with GECKO. What began with three employees has developed into an intensive partnership over the years. Today, between 15 and 20 employees work in the GECKO AIDA team.

Since the beginning of the partnership, GECKO has been working with AIDA Cruises on software solutions and projects for the AIDA database and booking engine, AIDA's agency and invoice management, price planning and order management, and flight monitoring. Together with Boreus, GECKO migrated the AIDA website, booking engine, and user management to the AWS Cloud. With its subsidiary codefit from Poland, it jointly developed software solutions for fuel management, the check-in process, the digital photo kiosk, and catering management.
